Thurnscoe Community Plaza

Coronavirus may have slowed things down a little but it has made us more determined than ever to bring our Community Plaza to life for everyone. The design has developed over a period of time in consultation with many groups and residents and now includes a fantastic community garden area with space for our bespoke sculpture for Thurnscoe.

In the main Plaza area there is space for parkour, skate, scoot and bikes as well as amphitheatre seating. The design also includes containers to house a pop up café and storage area for fitness and events equipment.

We are working with our Barnsley MBC colleagues and funders to make this happen just as soon as we can. Look out for more information on social media and let us know what you think or if you would like to get involved!
